Lindsay Lohan arrested after allegedly punching Tiffany Ava Mitchell, 28, in the face at Avenue nightclub in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood
Troubled Liz & Dick actress will likely be charged with third-degree assault, sources said. She was released by the NYPD on Thursday morning and is due back in court on Jan. 11. Cops took Lohan into custody about 4 a.m. after the smack-spat with Florida woman at the 10th Ave. hot spot.

Lindsay Lohan left a New York City police stationhouse with a coat over her head early Thursday. The trouble doll was arrested, yet again, on Thursday morning for an alleged assault inside a Chelsea nightclub. Cops say the Liz & Dick star smacked Tiffany Ava Mitchell while they were inside Avenue in Manhattan.
It didn't take a crystal ball to see this one coming: Lindsay Lohan is looking at more jail time.
The bicoastal bad girl was busted yet again Thursday for sucker-punching a Florida psychic inside a Manhattan nightclub that had once banned the perpetually troubled former star.
“I need space,” Lohan allegedly declared before slamming a fist into palm reader Tiffany Mitchell — who had reportedly offered the actress a free “reading” inside the VIP lounge at Chelsea hotspot Avenue.
Hours later, LiLo was accused of lying to California cops about a June 8 crash in which her black Porsche slammed into a dump truck on the Pacific Coast Highway.
The legal daily double came after the Tinseltown train wreck and her posse tried to dodge police investigating the predawn Manhattan punch-up, sources told the Daily News.

The oft-arrested actress slipped out the club’s back door and into an alley leading to W. 17th St. — only to have her bruised victim identify the fleeing star to cops, sources told The News.
“That’s her,” said the tourist as Lohan — sitting in the front passenger seat — tried to escape in a black Cadillac Escalade around 4 a.m.
Officers moved in and blocked Lohan from zipping off. The 26-year-old “Mean Girls” star was stunned as cops slapped on the handcuffs.
“Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?” she said, according to TMZ.com. Lohan, due back in court Jan. 7, was charged with misdemeanor assault as she continued to wear out her New York welcome.
Santa Monica police later added three misdemeanor counts of their own: lying to an officer, obstructing an officer in the course of his duties, and reckless driving.
Lohan — already jailed briefly five times — could land behind bars again.

A California judge will consider whether she violated probation by either the alleged West Coast lies or the East Coast assault.
The probation stems from Lohan’s theft of a $2,500 necklace at a Venice Beach jewelry store. Lohan pleaded guilty in 2011 for walking out of Kamofie & Co. with the piece around her neck.
Lohan, due to prison overcrowding, has typically spent mere hours in lockup — including a 2007 stay of just 84 minutes.
La Lohan, star of the widely panned TV biopic “Liz & Dick,” was brought to the 10th Precinct stationhouse in her clubbing clothes: Leggings, a form-fitting green miniskirt and high heels.

She used her one phone call to contact her attorney, sources said — and he wasted little time in defending his repeatedly rehabbed client.
“Once again, Lindsay Lohan is a victim of someone trying to capture their 15 minutes of fame,” said Lohan lawyer Mark Jay Heller , who later insisted his his client was not smashed when she slugged Mitchell.
“I can tell when I was with her this morning she was in great condition,” Heller told E! News. “She was certainly not intoxicated, certainly not under the influence of drugs.”
The husband of puffy-faced victim Mitchell said Lohan launched an unprovoked attack on his wife and then tried to skip out before the NYPD arrived.
Mitchell, of Palm Beach, Fla., was with hubby Wayne Stevens, 37, and another couple when a scuffle broke out at a nearby table.

Lindsay Lohan, seen here at a Beverly Hills event to promote her TV movie, 'Liz & Dick,' has reportedly been arrested in New York City after getting involved in a fight.
According to police sources, Mitchell, 28, moved away from the dispute in an attempt to protect herself. She instead strolled into Lohan’s line of fire, the sources said.
Lohan, according to some reports, was incensed because singer Max George of boy band The Wanted was ignoring her in favor of the blond Mitchell.
But her husband said Lohan lashed out for no reason, with Mitchell taking a shove from behind and then a single bop to the left side of her face.
“She pushed my wife pretty hard, and I don’t know why (Lohan) pushed her,” Stevens told The News. “She comes around and told my wife, ‘I need space’ . . . and then she just punched her.”
TMZ also reported Mitchell offered the free psychic consultation, but Lohan snubbed it. That’s when she walked away and called Mitchell “a f---ing Gypsy.”
Mitchell’s friend stood up for the victim, allegedly prompting the actress to punch the psychic.
Stevens denied that part of the TMZ account.
Stevens said he called 911 as Lohan scurried from the club. The actress, whose night began at a Justin Bieber concert at Madison Square Garden, later rushed past paparazzi outside the stationhouse with a coat covering her head.
Avenue had previously banned Lohan after she tweeted a salacious bit of gossip about Justin Timberlake on a night when both were at the club.
Lohan’s father, Michael, in a text to Daily News Confidenti@l, said he wasn’t surprised by his daughter’s arrest — and laid the blame at ex-wife Dina’s doorstep.
“Again, it’s ALL on Dina,” he wrote.
“She is in a dark place,” he said of his frequent verbal sparring partner. “It’s in God’s hands and I hope he deals with her appropriately.”
There was no sign of Lohan at her mother’s Merrick, L.I., home, but Dina Lohan released a statement hours after the latest public spectacle.
“As a mother, you always love and pray for the best with all your children,” she said. “Our family’s bond grows deeper and stronger during the tough times.”
The charges on both coasts capped the latest woes for the increasingly erratic former child star — including a September scuffle with a congressional aide and a bizarre October blowout with her mom.
Lohan, who has struggled with sobriety for years, finished her latest stay at the Betty Ford Center in January 2011.

New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons Thursday Night Football predictions
In spite of all the pro-Saints betting action, the Falcons remain a -3½ betting favored in this game.
Just a few moments before this TNF matchup gets underway, 58% of the betting population put money on New Orleans at +3½, while only 42% took the Falcons to cover the spread.
In the OVER/UNDER category, which by the way dropped from 56 points this morning to 55 at the present time, bettors continue to lean towards the OVER (50%) rather than the UNDER (40%).
Now that we've looked at how the general consensus sees this game playing out, let's see if we can get you a winning Thursday Night Football predictions! For starters, opening kickoff is slated for 8:30 p.m. EST live on NFL Network.
There's no question that when it comes to NFL power rankings, these teams are not on the same level.
Coming into week 13, Atlanta ranks fifth in the NFL in that category, while the Saints are good enough for 12th place in the league.
Having that said, despite all the discrepancies in their records, statistics or otherwise, these teams are actually very similar in their offensive approach:
Saints Offense (Rank):
- Points: 28.0 (5th)
- Total Yards 381.9 (8th)
- Pass Yards 290.5 (5th)
- Rush Yard: 91.5 (27th)
- Points: 26.7 (8th)
- Total Yards: 385.9 (6th)
- Pass Yards: 297.6 (2nd)
- Rush Yards: 88.3 (28th)
While Atlanta's "D" comes in ranked sixth in the league in points allowed, the Saints sit in a miserable 28th place. The Falcons are 14th in total yards allowed on the season, while the Saints are dead-last in that category... etcetera.
When it comes down to it, the offensive key for a Falcons win is going to depend on how many points they can put on the board anchored by the run game.
On the other side of the football, the best defense the Falcons can play tonight is keeping Drew Brees off the field.
Thus, the key statistic for this game will be "time of possession", which takes me back to my original point:
How effective can the Dirty Birds' running game be against a defense that ranks 32nd in the league in that department?
The bottom line is that the Falcons need to dominate the clock on offense to have a shot this evening.
For the Saints, however, the gameplan is different. Brees & Co. will need to get into a bit of a shootout and things will go their way.
In either case, no matter what happens, I simply don't see a team as desperate as NOLA, with as many offensive weapons as they possess, losing by more than a safety tonight.
I'm siding with the N.O. Saints because: A desperate team is a very dangerous opponent, and win or lose, I don't see the differential on the scoreboard being in favor of the home team by more than a field goal.

Sudden fortunes have triggered tragedy for several past lottery winners whose lives unraveled in a haze of drug and alcohol abuse, debt — and even death.

Powerball numbers are chosen during Wednesday night's drawing.
So you're not the $580 million Powerball winner? You didn’t have the winning numbers 5-16-22-23-29 and the Powerball of 6?
Stop pouting and start celebrating.
Sudden fortunes have triggered tragedy for several past lottery winners whose lives unraveled in a haze of drug and alcohol abuse, debt — and even death.
“Winning the lottery can create as many problems for people as it solves,” said New York-based certified financial planner Judy Haselton, president of Harmony Financial Advisors.
The Powerball jackpot climbed to $580 million by the time of Wednesday night’s drawing, making the cash option $379.8 million.Skyrocketing sales prompted lottery officials to jack up what was a $500 million pot, already the highest in Powerball history.
Winning tickets for the record jackpot were purchased in Arizona and Missouri, Powerball officials said early Thursday morning.
But anyone wishing to become an instant multimillionaire would be wise to consider the plight of some past winners.
POWERBALL TICKETS
Hortcina Martinez of Houston hopes to be Powerball winner.
Jack Whittaker, of West Virginia, won a $315 million Powerball jackpot in 2002. He was robbed of $545,000 in cash while at a strip club, his granddaughter died of a drug overdose, and he was sued by an Atlantic City casino for bouncing $1.5 million in checks.
Christopher Manzi, who split a $14 million Mega Millions jackpot, offered some blunt advice for whoever brings home the big Powerball prize: “Pack up and move. Actually, don’t even pack up. Just move.”
Manzi said he’s learned some valuable lessons since pocketing $3.5 million in October. The 44-year-old New Jersey millionaire says the key is having a plan and sticking to simple guidelines:
l Keep anyone who asks for money at “arm’s length, including your in-laws.”
l Ignore all phone calls from people claiming to be “brilliant money managers,” and go with a reputable, big-name firm instead.
l Before you even claim your ticket, get a lawyer and a financial adviser and start building a strategy.

Eclipse dims the moon's glow

Astrophotographer
Andrew Wall captured images of the moon before and during the penumbral
lunar eclipse (left and right, respectively). "The images were taken
from my backyard in Paralowie, South Australia," he said in an email.
Six frames were stacked to produce each image.

Did you catch today's eclipse? You probably didn't notice the penumbral lunar eclipse unless you knew it was coming — but fortunately, skywatchers around the world were clearly ready.
This photo by Australian astrophotographer Andrew Wall illustrates just how subtle the eclipse was. Earth's fuzzy shadow dimmed the bright lunar disk at the height of the eclipse, which translated to 9:33 a.m. ET today.
The dimming effect was muted because the moon traveled just through the very edge of the shadow this time around — and not through the deepest part of the shadow, as it did during last December's total lunar eclipse.
The prime viewing area included Australia and the Pacific as well as Alaska and most of Asia.
"There was a very subtle darkening of the lunar limb at totality; barely noticeable to the untrained eye," Pakistani skywatcher Ramiz Qureshi told SpaceWeather.com in a report from Karachi. "In fact, I nearly missed it until a friend reminded me."
Qureshi put together a close-up shot and a wider-angle photograph to create this composite view of the eclipse. We also received a picture from Terry Staats in Chiba City, Japan, via NBC News' FirstPerson photo-uploading page. If you missed today's subtle show, there'll be three replays next year — including a partial lunar eclipse on April 25 and penumbral eclipses on May 25 and Oct. 18.
For more views of today's lunar eclipse, as well as the total solar eclipse that took place two weeks ago, check out SpaceWeather.com's eclipse photo gallery.

The term "penumbral" refers to the partially shaded outer region of a

Where the Colo. lotto money goes
DENVER - With excitement building over the half-billion dollar Powerball jackpot it's worth remembering that the lotto only exists as a way for states to raise money.
Coloradans spent $519 million on lotto tickets last year.
Each dollar spent on the lottery breaks down this way:
63 CENTS - PRIZES
The bulk of each lottery dollar goes to pay lottery winners. Without this, who would play?
15 CENTS - EXPENSES
This is the money used to run the lottery. The bulk of this money goes to the shops that sell lotto tickets in the form of commission. The rest goes to administration, marketing, and supplies like tickets and machines.
22 CENTS - PROFIT
This is the fundraising part of the lottery. In 2011, the Colorado Lottery raised $113 million. The Colorado constitution dictates that this money be spent on things like parks and conservation projects. You can track these projects county-by-county on the Colorado lottery website.
Colroado's approach is rare. Most states allocate their lottery profits to education.
However, Pennsylvania puts its profits toward programs for senior citizens and Kansas spends most profits on economic development.

Memories of Sean Taylor
It was five years ago today that Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor
died after a shooting at his home. Taylor's death was one of the most
shocking and affecting in recent sports history, and the memory of it
still resonates strongly and emotionally with Taylor's fans, friends and
former teammates. This video tribute includes insights from former
college and professional teammates Antrel Rolle, Clinton Portis, Ed Reed, Chris Cooley and Santana Moss as well as Redskins owner Dan Snyder, who smiles as he remembers Portis badgering him to draft Taylor.
I remember hearing of Taylor's death, of course. I was a baseball writer at the time, but anyone who followed sports even tangentially heard the story, and no one could get their arms around it in a way that made any sense. Five years later, as I heard today from fans, watched the video and read the columns by those who were covering the story at the time, it's clear that Taylor's death is still affecting a large number of people.
Rolle talks about how he still watches Taylor highlights on YouTube. Cooley remembers how grateful he was that Taylor never practiced his trademark big hits against him in practice. And Moss breaks down in tears remembering the way the news affected him. If you're a Redskins fan, I know the loss of Taylor is a wound on your heart that still hasn't healed. I invite you to share your memories and your feelings about him in the comments section of this post.

Worst mug shot ever? Actress Lisa Robin Kelly's bleary-eyed DUI arrest
It’s that time of the year again: Time to trot out Lisa Robin Kelly’s rather unflattering mug shot.
The former “That ‘70s Show” actress, 42, found herself under arrest once more late Tuesday night after she and her husband allegedly engaged in an argument that turned violent in their North Carolina home.
Police tell TMZ that Kelly and her 61-year-old husband are currently both still in custody, and drugs and alcohol were likely not a factor in the attack.
Kelly, who played Eric Forman’s bombshell older sister Laurie on the hit Fox show, has been in trouble with the law before.
The actress previously played Eric Forman's slutty older sister Laurie in 'That 70s Show.'
The actress was previously arrested for spousal abuse back in March, but the charges were later dropped.
In 2010, she was also busted on one count of drunk driving. Kelly pled guilty to the charge and consequently served a day in jail, paid $143 in court costs and was placed on unsupervised probation for a year.

Google Nexus 4 Ships In 4 To 9 Weeks
Crush of orders for Nexus 4 Android smartphone leaves Google's servers gasping for breath. It's not sold out, but you face a wait.
At first, many people believed the Nexus 4 had sold out again. It hadn't. After a couple of hours, Google finally offered an alert that explained it was having trouble accepting all the orders. "Keep on trying" was the basic message. That's what many people did.
[ Google's Nexus smartphone boasts plenty of top specs, but support for LTE is conspicuously missing. Read more at Google Nexus 4: Why No LTE? ]
Based on an informal poll I took on Twitter, plenty of interested purchasers had trouble getting their orders through to Google's servers. One journalist I know gave up after 30 minutes of hitting refresh. Another actually used a script written by a friend to have his order placed automatically. It took a while to go through.
Despite the extraordinarily high demand, the Nexus 4 didn't sell out. But it's not really available, either.
According to the Google Play Store, the pricier ($349) 16GB version of the Nexus 4 ships in 4 to 5 weeks. Orders placed today might arrive before New Year's Eve.
If you want an 8GB model ($299), be prepared to wait much longer -- it doesn't ship for 8 to 9 weeks. Orders placed today won't arrive until late January or early February.
If the Nexus 4 debacle has made anything clear, it is that Google doesn't yet know how to successfully operate an online retail store. Apple's servers are inundated when its new products become available, but they generally recover after an hour. People I spoke to on Twitter complained about spending hours trying to place orders for the Nexus 4.
The Nexus 4 runs the newest version of Android, Jelly Bean. The software includes new features such as Photo Sphere, a traceable keyboard, security improvements, and many other features, The Nexus 4 has a 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 pixel display, an 8-megapixel camera, HSPA+, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and support for wireless inductive charging.

Jaguars claim Jason Babin
Why Did Jags Claim Babin?
The Jaguars are tied for the fewest sacks of a quarterback this season, which might explain why they decided to claim Jason Babin on waivers from the Eagles.Team | Sacks |
---|---|
Jaguars | 13 |
Raiders | 13 |
Jets | 17 |
Eagles | 18 |
Buccaneers | 18 |
-- ESPN Stats & Information |
The Jaguars will pay the remaining $1.69 million of Babin's 2012 salary, essentially taking a low-risk look at someone who significantly could upgrade one of the league's worst pass rushes.
"It's a good pickup," coach Mike Mularkey said. "He's had a lot of success over the last three years and we could use some help in that area. He'll fit what we're doing. (Defensive line coach) Joe Cullen and he have a relentless type of mindset. I just think it's going to be good for us, really good for us."
The two-time Pro Bowl defensive end's release was the first major roster move for the Eagles, who have lost seven straight games.
Babin had just 5.5 sacks after recording 18 last year. He signed a five-year, $28 million deal last summer after going to his first Pro Bowl with Tennessee after the 2010 season.
Jacksonville has a league-low 13 sacks, a glaring weakness on a team filled with holes.
The Jaguars gave Jeremy Mincey a four-year contract worth $20 million in March, but he has two sacks. They also drafted Andre Branch in the second round, but he has played sparingly the past two months.
Babin will play Sunday at Buffalo, Mularkey said.
"We've got five games and we're trying to win these games," Mularkey said. "It's a sign that we're trying to show our team that we're trying to win right now, that this is not, 'Play the young guys and do the evaluating.' We're trying to win and we're doing whatever we can to improve our roster. This is a great move."
The Jaguars made good move in claiming defensive end Jason Babin, who was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, writes Paul Kuharsky.
"Let's start working him in the plan and see what we have to do to get him up to speed as quickly as we can," Mularkey said. "Can he play Sunday? Yes. I know he will. We're anticipating him playing."
Eagles coach Andy Reid said the Eagles cut Babin to give more playing time to younger players.

Angus T. Jones "Likely" to Leave Two and a Half Men After Current Season, Source Reveals
Robert Voets/CBS
Will Two and a Half Men be changing its name to Two Men by season's end? That seems to be the question on everyone's mind after star Angus T. Jones publicly trashed the show, calling it "filth," and revealed he no longer wishes to be on the CBS comedy. (He has since issued an apology.) Now, reports have surfaced saying Jones will exit the show after season 10.
A source close to the show confirms to us that Jones plans to finish out the current season and will most likely not return should CBS order another season.
Charlie Sheen offers Angus a job on Anger Management
Jones' character Jake enlisted in the army at the end of season 9 and has only appeared in a few episodes of the current season. "He won't be in every episode," our source says of the remaining season 10 episodes. "How much they use him will be up to [creator] Chuck Lorre. The intention wasn't ever for him to be in every ep this year anyway. Now it might be less."
Jones and his costars Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher all have contracts through the end of this season and CBS has yet to pick up the show for season 11. Should Two and a Half Men be renewed, it's "unlikely" that Jones will return as a series regular. "You might see him for a few guest spots," our source reveals, adding that it's "likely" the 19-year-old will choose to go to college next year.
"Part of the reason Angus is so wary of the [TV] industry and so involved with the church is that he's seen what's happened to Charlie [Sheen] front and center," the source says. "He doesn't want to end up like that. Who would?"
As for Jones' reaction to the media storm the video has elicited, our source says he is "shocked" that it's become such a big deal, explaining, "He really didn't think anyone would care that much. He has never been the one to get attention."

Nexus 4 back in stock soon, sales set to resume
Android Central reports that Google has sent out e-mails about Nexus 4 availability. The LG-made smartphone, which costs $300 for an 8 GB model or $350 for a 16 GB model, went on sale November 13, but sold out of its initial stock within minutes.
Meanwhile, T-Mobile's version of the Nexus 4, which costs $200 with a two-year contract, is back on sale right now.
For people who managed to order the Nexus 4 on launch day, Google has been shipping the units in waves. On Monday, Google sent e-mailsto some customers, telling them that shipments will resume this week.
So far, it has been a rocky launch for all of Google's new Nexus devices. The Nexus 10 tablet originally sold out within a few days of launch, as did the 3G version of the Nexus 7 tablet. Both tablets are now available for purchase again, but the 32 GB Nexus 10 has a one- to two-week shipping delay.
Google hasn't disclosed sales figures for any of its devices, so it's unclear whether the company was simply overwhelmed by demand, or had other supply issues. However, Asus has said that the Nexus 7, which went on sale in July, is approaching 1 million sales per month, and the quick sell-out of other devices at least bodes well for Google. Although Google has struggled to sell Nexus devices online in the past, perhaps the idea of pure Android hardware, sold at competitive prices, is starting to catch on.

Sean Taylor, five years later: Remembering a player that was more like a kid you knew from the ’hood
When the Redskins drafted Sean Taylor on April 24, 2004, I screamed. I was in college, watching the draft and couldn’t have been more excited. Until that point, I hadn’t yelled like that for a single Redskins’ moment since going to RFK Stadium with my father as a kid.
Taylor was most exciting defensive football player I'd ever seen in my life. In an era when hard hits
were not considered the grisly acts they are today, he excelled in lighting guys up.
But when he was killed five years ago, a part of my love for the team went with him. It wasn’t solely because of his athletic ability: Taylor was a player that many people, particularly young black men, could relate to well. He was familiar; that kid from your ’hood that made it.
Of course, he wasn’t without 'baggage,” as many liked to put it. Some thought he was too aggressive, too brash and not mature enough. In his second year, he was fined for wearing the wrong socks and spitting on a guy during a game.
Before that, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence while returning from a birthday party. Later, he was labeled a person of interest in an incident involving guns and stolen sport-utility vehicles in Florida.
Because of this off-field troubles, he might not have lasted long in the league if he hadn’t been a great player. But he made it past them and became the family man he'd always wanted to be. Indeed, Taylor was the guy that you could root for even when he might not deserve it.
Although not many of us are blessed with world-class athletic ability, loss of someone at such a young age are something that too many of us are forced to deal with. Be it murder, incarceration or drug use, the reason Sean's story hit home so hard around here is because it was all too familiar.
Brutally unfair violent deaths are still just another part of life for black people, especially men.
Taylor was only 2 years younger than I was when he died. I think every man that's grown up in a place where random and not-so-random violence is a regular threat has been forced to deal with their own mortality in a jarring way.
In a world full of inequalities, violent loss of life is always top of mind for black men. You're taught from early age that if you do the so-called right thing, you can make it past the pitfalls that doom so many low-income communities across America. For some people, it's the only hope they have.
So I don't ask “why?” when it comes to Sean Taylor. I never asked why my older cousin was gunned down when I was a child. And as gross as it sounds, I rarely ask why when I read of the dozens of slayings that occur in this city on a regular basis, regardless of race. The reason is because quite frankly, the why doesn’t matter.
And after that fateful day, a memorial to him that went up at the Brookland Metro station that has still never been buffed — an incredible show of respect. While a lot of outsiders called Taylor a thug, a loose cannon and a criminal, we loved him.
And his death was another grim reminder that no matter how far black boys and men get in life, no matter how many people like you, it can end in a violent second for too, too many. Ask any brother under 35 who their favorite Redskins player is. I'll bet you lunch that a majority of them will tell you it's #21. Why? Because in a sense, he was all of us.

Disney Channel confirms development of ‘Boy Meets World’ spin-off, ‘Girl Meets World’
Looks like another network is ready to tap into 90s
nostalgia for ratings — after weeks of rumors, Disney Channel confirmed
that the network is developing a pilot called “Girl Meets World,” a
spin-off of ABC’s popular sitcom that aired from 1993 through 2000.
Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are set to reprise their roles as Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence, the central couple of the show for all seven seasons. Now, they have a 13-year-old daughter named Riley — casting is currently underway for the role.
A Disney rep noted that the show is still in the “development” phase, and that the pilot will be produced by Michael Jacobs, also the exec producer behind “Boy Meets World,” along with “Charles in Charge” and “My Two Dads.”
No word on whether any of the other actors from the series will return, though given many mostly dropped off the map after the show wrapped up, we have a feeling there will be no shortage of guest spots.
Perhaps already anticipating rabid viewer disappointment if the new show isn’t the same beloved one they remember from years ago, Fishel has already taken to her Tumblr page to manage expectations for the show.
“‘GMW’ is a new show. It isn’t BMW brought back to life but in current day...please keep in mind that this there will be episode 1, of season 1, of a brand new show,” Fishel explained. “For those of you who knew and loved BMW, please allow this show to evolve as well. Stick with us. Give us a chance.”

Angus T. Jones addresses 'Two and a Half Men' rant
Angus T. Jones, left, as
Jake and Ashton Kutcher as Walden in a scene from 'Two and a Half Men."
( Cliff Lipson / CBS )
|
The 19-year-old actor made headlines Monday after appearing in a testimonial posted by the Forerunner Christian Church, in which he labeled the CBS ratings juggernaut "filth" and urged viewers not to watch the show -- in addition to noting his desire to no longer be part of the series.
Former costar Sheen couldn't resist weighing in on the kerfuffle either, saying the show is "cursed" -- you'll recall the 47-year-old actor's meltdown last year that ultimately led to his departure from the show.
By Tuesday evening, Jones finally addressed the video rant. He's apologetic to those involved with the show, but doesn't necessarily backtrack his position on the show's content. Here's his statement in full:
I have been the subject of much discussion, speculation and commentary over the past 24 hours. While I cannot address everything that has been said or right every misstatement or misunderstanding, there is one thing I want to make clear.
Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked and over the past ten years who have become an extension of my family.
Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date. I thank them for the opportunity they have given and continue to give me and the help and guidance I have and expect to continue to receive from them.
I also want all of the crew and cast on our show to know how much I personally care for them and appreciate their support, guidance and love over the years. I grew up around them and know that the time they spent with me was in many instances more than with their own families. I learned life lessons from so many of them and will never forget how much positive impact they have had on my life.
I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.
A CBS representative said the network had no comment regarding Jones' statement.

Eagles rookie grades for Monday Night Football loss to Panthers
Peering out at the Eagles offensive huddle in the second half on Monday night it felt like the third team at the start of training camp trying to make their mark in a real NFL game. With the exception of Jeremy Maclin, Evan Mathis and Brent Celek, it was a bunch of rookies and relative unknowns auditioning for a spot on the 2013 roster.
So how did the rookie class do in the 30-22 loss, the Eagles' seventh straight in a debacle of a season? Here's a player-by-player rookie breakdown:
DE Vinny Curry - The fans clamored for the second-round pick to see the field. He finally did Monday night for the first time in his career, and received plenty of playing time. Curry made a significant impact, even though he missed his first career sack when Cam Newton slipped through his finger tips in the second half. Still, Curry was active against the run and showed power as a pass rusher. Several times he bull-rushed left tackle Jordan Gross deep into the backfield. He impressed Gross so much that the All-Pro tackle approached him after the game and told him he gave him fits. Curry finished with five tackles and spent plenty of time in the backfield. The Marshall product also felt he made a point with his play.
"It was what I expected. Guys are good, but I'm here for a reason," Curry said. "My goal was to go out there and prove we didn't draft no slouch. I know a lot of people were wondering where I was. I just wanted to leave a mark on the game. I think I did all right."Grade: A- RB Bryce Brown - There was the good (178 yards and two rushing touchdowns) and the bad (two fumbles). Regardless, Brown left an impression. The seventh-round pick's size, speed and cutting ability left hope that the Eagles have two stud running backs for at least the next few seasons. He also made a dent in the Eagles record book with the most yards in a game by a rookie running back in team history. Overall, he impressed himself and just about everybody else.
"I thought I ran well," Brown said. "I ran tough, I ran hard. It's the little things though. You have to take care of the ball."Grade: B QB Nick Foles - The third-round pick wasn't overly impressive in his second career start. Foles finished 16-of-21 passing for 119 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. Of his five incompletions, however, three were poor throws that were almost intercepted in the first half. To his credit, the one deep shot he took downfield resulted in a 51-yard pass interference call. That didn't count in his final statistics. The bottom line: Foles didn't flash much that left anyone 100% confident he's the Eagles' quarterback of the future. He was average in every facet of the game.
"I felt like I improved on certain things," Foles said. "Still a lot to improve on."Grade: C- WR/PR Damaris Johnson - The undrafted free agent had the best game of his rookie season. Playing more on offense when DeSean Jackson left the game in the first half with an injury, Johnson caught both passes thrown in his direction for 13 yards. He was elusive and dangerous on punt returns as well, with two returns for 32 yards, showing the shiftiness and speed that made him lethal as a returner in college.
Grade: A-
OT Dennis Kelly - The fifth-round pick out of Purdue drew a difficult assignment against Carolina's best pass rusher Charles Johnson. And while Kelly struggled at times stopping Johnson against the pass, he provided solid run blocking throughout the game. He made an excellent seal block on Brown's 65-yard touchdown run in the first half and was able to reach the second level consistently as the Eagles rushed for a season-best 204 yards.
Grade: B
CB/KR Brandon Boykin - The Eagles third-round pick was pretty good as the slot cornerback. He wasn't so good as the re-installed kickoff returner. After losing the job several weeks back to Brown, Boykin re-claimed the position by default with Brown starting at running back. His return didn't go well. Boykin didn't reach the 20-yard line on any of his returns except one, which he fumbled away after a 44-yard scamper. On defense, he wasn't very active — failing to make a single tackle in 30 or so snaps — but also wasn't beaten badly. He did knock down a pass to Brandon LaFell in the red zone in the first half.
Grade: C-
LB Mychal Kendricks - The outside linebacker's effort mirrored his rookie season, mixed with some success and struggles. Kendricks again failed to make any impact plays and was flagged for a key holding late in the fourth quarter. He did, however, do a nice job covering speedy wide receiver Steve Smith across the middle in the red zone on another fourth-quarter play. Overall, it was a decent performance.
Grade: C+
DT Fletcher Cox - The Eagles top draft pick didn't last long in this one. Cox (lower back/tailbone) was injured in the first quarter and did not return.
Grade: Incomplete

Express Slows Down
J.P. Morgan cut estimates on the apparel retailer.
By J.P. Morgan ($12.88, Nov. 26, 2012)We are adjusting our fourth-quarter estimate as we believe Express likely saw an improving comp trend over the Black Friday weekend driven by deeper promotions.
We believe that this year's 50% off promo likely grabbed customer interest, helping to support comps. However, as compared to last year's offering, we expect this will likely come at the expense of the company's gross margin. At the current valuation (nine times fiscal 2013 earnings-per-share estimate), we believe investors would likely applaud any sign of improving sales, but we remain Neutral at present as we believe it will be essential to monitor the cost of doing business when determining Express' (ticker: EXPR) margin profile going forward. Express is set to report third-quarter EPS on Nov. 28 before the market opens.
The cost of doing business -- the recent share run could see a pause if a sustainable turn has yet to materialize. Based on our channel checks, Express appears to have successfully driven traffic amid, what appears to have been, a generally flat/weaker softline Black Friday showing. We believe the company drove among the strongest absolute traffic and conversion across peers (we do recognize that Express enjoyed "a record Black Friday sales day" last year); however, Express appears to have gone deeper with their promotion (e.g. beginning with a 50% off versus 40% last year) which we believe will likely come at the expense of gross margin; we are projecting an about 280 basis-point decline in the fourth quarter.
Since the company's Oct. 2 update, fiscal 2012 EPS consensus has dropped more than 30 cents to about $1.41. However, we are concerned that fiscal 2013 numbers still remain elevated and we expect to see ongoing estimate revisions downward. We are projecting fiscal 2013 EPS of $1.40 versus the Street at $1.57.
We are tweaking our fourth-quarter comp estimate slightly to negative 1.5% from the prior negative 3% and we are lowering our gross-margin estimate as we believe Express may have seen an uptick in top-line trends at the expense of margin. We are lowering our fiscal 2012/2013 estimates to $1.40/$1.40, respectively, from $1.48/$1.46, respectively. We are maintaining our December 2013 price target of $14 based on nine to 10 times our fiscal 2013 EPS estimate. We believe Express will continue to trade at a discount-to-peers in the near term as uncertainty remains and in light of the first quarterly negative store-level comp and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) margin contraction keep investors focused on execution risk.

Kindle Fire HD & Other eReaders Have Biggest Day Ever for Cyber Monday 2012 at Amazon
Part of the big sales day was a Kindle Fire tablet sale on Monday. With the non-HD tablet down to just $129 from a normal price of $159, it's likely more than a couple of those sold on the site. Other customers may have opted to spend just $70 more on a HD version, or a bit more on the larger tablets, including one that features 4G LTE. No matter which were bought, the Kindle tablets and eReaders dominate electronics sales at Amazon.
A press release from the company today notes that their Kindle Fires and eReaders have held the top 4 spots on Amazon's worldwide bestsellers list since launch. Additionally, the Kindle Fire HD (pictured) remains the "most gifted and most wished for product on Amazon worldwide since launch."
Amazon Kindle VP Dave Limp said of the sales success:
"Kindle e-readers and Kindle Fires have held the top 4 spots on the Amazon worldwide best sellers list since launch, and that was before the busiest shopping weekend of the year. We're excited that customers made this Black Friday and Cyber Monday the best ever for Kindle worldwide—Cyber Monday was the biggest day ever for Kindle sales, and we're looking forward to millions of customers opening a new Kindle this holiday season."
Limp and his associates love not just the sales success of the devices themselves, but the concept that now the real earnings begin as new customers get the devices. There will be plenty spent on content for those Kindles and Kindle Fires. That includes music, movies, ebooks, apps, games and more through the device, which is a flashy portal to help customers shop on Amazon from the handheld device. What will be interesting is to hear what percentage of tablet marketshare Amazon has achieved with this "massive success," and if they are any closer to toppling Apple in the competition.
Do you currently own a Kindle Fire tablet or Kindle eReader, or do you own a different device? Did you buy a tablet during Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

The 411 On Jenny Johnson, The Woman That Shut Down Breezy's Twitter Account!
Ever since Jenny Johnson and Chris Brown’s Twitter beef put the “Look At Me Now” singer back in the headlines for his uncontrollable temperament and provoked him to delete his account, everyone's been wondering ... Just who is Jenny Johnson?
Jenny (@JennyJohnsonHi5) is a self-described “writer, wife, asshole and owner of 2 dogs.” Based out of Houston, the former news producer and current comedy writer told Paper Mag that she was working on a book of essays and a TV pilot back in May 2012.
Under her belt, she's credited for co-producing ABC’s hit series Lost and executively producing the Fox TV series Alcatraz. In addition, she's been published in GQ Magazine.
She’s been on Twitter since 2009, but began to make a name for herself by using her wit to make fun of high-profile celebrities like Kim K. and, of course, Chris Brown. Her cunning quips helped her build her Twitter following to around 200,000, which grew into over 347,000 followers after she took a personal Twitter bashing from Breezy. It’s also helped her gain notoriety as one of the funniest women on Twitter, according to both the HuffPo and Paper Mag.
In 2011, Jenny indirectly grabbed the attention of the "Don't Wake Me Up" singer through one of her hard hitting attacks tweeting:

Olivier Martinez fitted with hand brace
The two men were hospitalised after the brawl at Berry’s Hollywood home, and Aubry subsequently obtained a restraining order against Martinez, accusing him of initiating the fight, which concerned the actress’ custody battle over the daughter she shares with her ex.
French actor Martinez was spotted leaving a Los Angeles medical center on Tuesday after seeking treatment for his right hand, which was allegedly broken in the clash. He emerged with his fingers strapped up in a brace.
His injuries appeared to be minor compared to Aubry’s – the Canadian model stepped out in Los Angeles on Friday with a black eye and cuts and bruises to his swollen face. He is also said to have suffered a broken rib.
Aubry was slapped with an emergency protective order of his own after the incident, banning him from going near Berry or their daughter Nahla, but that expires on Tuesday.
Berry is hoping to move to France with the little girl and her fiance in a bid to escape the intrusive paparazzi. Aubry is opposing the move.

Black Friday gun-draw should inspire signs
On Monday, the number of mySA readers who “liked” a particular San Antonio Express-News story, having shared it on Facebook, had climbed to about 1,500 — an unusually high figure for the website.
The article, “Shopper who pulled gun at San Antonio mall within rights, cops say,” recounts a man's decision to pull a loaded, semi-automatic handgun during a Black Friday scuffle with another man inside a crowded Sears store at South Park Mall.
Presumably, online readers “like” the Police Department's determination that Jose Alonzo Salame, a concealed handgun licensee, did not break the law by pulling the weapon. Two noteworthy folks, however, dislike the fact that Salame brandished the gun.
One is Stella Moreno, a shopper who was standing a few feet from Salame's would-be target.
Another is state Rep. George Lavender, Republican from Texarkana, who says he plans to push for an “open carry” law when the Legislature convenes in January — certainly no yellow belly, even by Texas standards.
Let's start with Moreno. At Sears to score deals for her family, she was standing at a counter when the fight broke out in a nearby line.
Salame, 33, told police he pulled the gun after Alejandro Alex, 35, punched him. A witness said Salame pointed the gun directly at Alex, although a sergeant at the scene told reporters that Salame pointed the weapon at the ground.
“No, no,” Moreno told me. “I saw the gun. I saw the barrel. I didn't see it pointed down. If he would have missed, I think I would've been shot.”
Moreno says Salame kept pointing the gun even as Alex fled in her direction, prompting her to leap to the floor in terror. Other shoppers were shrieking and fleeing as well.
“I'm already thinking the theater bit,” Moreno said, referring to the massacre in Aurora, Colo., where a gunman killed 12 people and injured 58 in a movie theater.
She added, “You can carry (guns) inside a mall? I always thought this wasn't allowed in malls.”
In fact, licensees in Texas may carry concealed handguns in malls, unless a mall posts a sign that prohibits them and cites a section of the penal code that makes doing so a class A misdemeanor.
No such signs are posted at South Park Mall.
Since the Legislature passed a law in 1995 allowing Texans to carry concealed handguns, such signs have become more and more rare, says Alice Tripp, a lobbyist for the Texas State Rifle Association. The reason: Businesses don't want to lose customers, she says.
“Malls have taken their signs down,” she said. “Car dealerships, banks have taken their signs down.”
When I suggested that the incident at South Park Mall could have led to the loss of innocent lives, Tripp became animated.
“Think about what you're saying,” she said. “I'm being pounded on, and I'm not supposed to defend myself because suddenly I'm insecure that somebody who is close enough to me to hit me, that I might miss? I don't think so. I mean, that's silly.”
Lavender, however, thinks the mall incident was worse than silly — he believes it was dangerous.
(Lavender, recall, is the legislator who wants to make it legal for Texans to openly carry handguns: “Your response time is a little quicker if you don't have to reach down into your boot,” he said.)
“I think that's a bad situation to do it in,” he told me, noting the possibility bystanders such as Moreno could get shot. “I mean, if (Salame) was in an alley somewhere and a guy starts beating him up, sure, I get it. But in the mall, I think that's a bad thing, and that's just bad judgment.”
In other words: South Park Mall, get a sign.
