People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2012 will be in the running for a new title in 2013: Proudest Papa Alive.
Actor Channing Tatum and his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum both 32, are expecting their first child next year, their reps confirm.
The news was first reported by People, which named Tatum the Sexiest Man Alive in November.
The couple, who recently costarred in the film "10 Years," met on the 2006 dance film "Step Up," and wed in 2009.
Besides a baby, the new year will be a busy year for the parents-to-be. Tatum, who turned heads this year in the movie hits "Magic Mike," "21 Jump Street" and "The Vow," has at least four movies in the works. Dewan-Tatum is appearing in this season of "American Horror Story: Asylum" and has a TV movie called "She Made Them Do It" premiering Dec. 29 on Lifetime.

Posner sings for victims

Singer-songwriter-producer Mike Posner, a Detroit native who grew up in Southfield, has written a song about the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., according to MTV News.
"Hey guys ... I wanted to do SOMETHING for the victims' families and I didn't really know what else to do," he tweeted. "Writing songs is pretty much the only thing I'm good at so I hope you'll share this as you see fit."
The song, titled "Heaven," includes the lines: "Today we shed our tear for you / Tomorrow we do it all again / They say that time will make it better / I think about what could have been." You can hear it at www.freep.com.
Posner's debut album, "31 Minutes to Takeoff," was released in August 2010, and first single "Cooler Than Me" reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

New Winehouse inquest

The inquest into the death of pop-R&B singer Amy Winehouse was overseen by a coroner who lacked the proper qualifications and must be heard again next month, British authorities said Monday.
Assistant deputy coroner Suzanne Greenaway, who handled the inquest, resigned in November 2011 after her qualifications were questioned. A new hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 8.
Winehouse was found dead in her London home in July 2011 at age 27. In an inquest in October 2011, Greenaway ruled that the singer had died of accidental alcohol poisoning.
Winehouse family spokesman Chris Goodman said Monday that the singer's family had not requested a new hearing.

She's a Belieber!

Add Honey Boo Boo to Justin Bieber's list of adoring female fans.
The oft-derided 7-year-old star of TLC reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" has just confessed to People that she has a crush on the baby-faced popster. Other revealing tidbits from the People interview:
• Jeans are HBB's favorite clothing item.
• If she could be anyone else in the world, it would be singers Pink or Nicki Minaj.
• If she could travel anywhere in the world, she'd opt for a trip to Walmart with her mom.
Laugh if you like. Just keep in mind that HBB (aka Alana Thompson) is a star on the rise. She's still riding high after making Barbara Walters' recent list of 2012's most fascinating people and she even captured the attention of President Barack Obama in 2012. He referenced her on the campaign trail this fall after she endorsed his bid for re-election.
