A UPS truck overturned after being struck by a van on U.S. 1 in the Cocoa area this morning.
The wreck involved three vehicles and closed the highway at City Point Road about noon. All lanes had been reopened by 1:15 p.m.
“There was a UPS truck involved; it’s on its side,” FHP spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said immediately after the crash.
She said the truck was trying to turn into a business when it was hit by a van, which was also heading south. The impact tipped the truck and sent the van across southbound lanes, where it crashed into a northbound vehicle.
Montes said two people were taken from the scene with minor injuries.
