Paula Broadwell, Linked to the Petraeus Scandal, Once Stopped By ‘The Daily Show’

Central Intelligence Agency Director David Petraeus stepped down from his post after a probe into whether someone was using his email without authorization led to the discovery that he was having an extramarital affair, according to a story in the Wall Street Journal.
Multiple officials familiar with the investigation identified the other woman as Paula Broadwell, a West Point graduate and the author of a biography on Petraeus titled “All In: The Education of General David Petraeus.” Her representatives have yet to comment to the Journal. Broadwell is familiar to viewers of “The Daily Show.” She appeared on the program in January–along with her husband–and participated in a push-up contest against host Jon Stewart for charity.
On the program, Stewart and Broadwell joked about how scandal-free Petraeus was, and the clearly-toned Broadwell talked about interviewing the general while the two worked out together.
